LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
After a solid 18th place qualifying effort under the lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Rajah Caruth and the Market Rebellion team took off in the bright desert sun Saturday afternoon. In the first stage of the race, Rajah raced his way inside the top15 and a stellar pit stop put the team up inside the top10. A tough restart and changing track conditions dropped the 44 car back to 19th before the end of stage two. When the final stage began and the track was at its highest temp, the Market Rebellion Chevy struggled for grip, losing a lap to the lead cars. A few adjustments helped Caruth get back in the mix for a good run, even though the spread out nature of the race prevented any late cautions or chances for additional strategy. In the end, a 20th place day for the rookie driver and a clean car left the team feeling good about their afternoon.
