Tommy Joe Martins and the Rally for Valor Chevrolet Camaro started the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner 300. in 32nd position at Daytona International Speedway in the 2022 season opener. The No. 44 was able to qualify in against a competitive field of 47 cars for a total of 38 spots to start the race. At the end of Stage 1, Martins was able to wheel his way through the field and close out the stage in 24th place. Continuing to battle through the evening, the Rally for Valor Camaro finished Stage 2 in 27th position. Martins was caught in a wreck on the front stretch in lap 92, causing him to slide through the grass while avoiding major damage. In the final lap of the event, the 31 of Myatt Snider got sideways and went airborne into the catch fence, causing a majority of the field to be caught up in the incident. Tommy Joe Martins and the No. 44 Camaro were caught in the incident – finishing the evening in 24th position.
