CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY ROAD COURSE
Road course ace Josh Bilicki practiced and qualified inside the top20 for one of the toughest races on the circuit, the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval – a combination of the famous high banked track as well as a tight infield road course, very similar to a street circuit. Along with recognizing Rally for Valor guests, Bilicki’s bright pink paint scheme also helped to bring awareness to breast cancer survivors during breast cancer awareness month. Unfortunately for Bilicki and the 44 team, the race didn’t go as smoothly as the practice and qualifying rounds. After putting himself in position inside the top15 with just over 20 laps to go, a broken axel in the rear of the racecar parked Bilicki in the pits for 6 laps for repairs. The crew was able to get him fixed up to finish the race, but was relegated to a 34th place finish.
